I'm trying to say that I think if someone is going to leave a comment, they should actually comment to the "artist". The one who "drew" the picture. Ya know? Telling me you like Princess Zelda or Optimus Prime isn't a comment directed to "me" as the artist. It is a comment directed to the creator of the character since I didn't make the character.
When I draw fan art, sure I like to know you guys like the characters, too or the games or movies or whatever it is, but I DID do art and I'd like to know that you left me a comment because you actually liked the drawing. Just saying "hey, nice art" or "I like your coloring" or whatever is something. It's a comment to "me" and what "I" have done.
I get a lot of comments where people just say "Oh I love that character". or "They are so hot!". My comment section isn't a message board for you to tell me how much you like something. I'd like to know you liked the part I did, too. The art itself.
Drawing fanart sucks...
Why do so many people go on about the content and not the art?
I realize I did fan art and it is to be expected people are looking at it for the character but come on... if I draw a picture of Darth Vader and your only comment on my art is "Vader is SOooOOooOoooo cool" Why? Go tell George Lucas he is cool, I didn't make him so why are you telling me? Why don't you tell me my art is cool?
Why do people only go on about the events in the book/movie/game or tell me the character is hot? I don't give a shit.
If you're gonna comment, you could at least have the decency to mention the part "I" did...
