update - just to let you know, she isn't sticking her tongue out. Her beak is open showing the inside of her mouth.


Well, it's been one year since I joined deviantART and for that, I wanted to do both a One Year Anniversary pic and a Thank you pic.

I thank you all who supported and believed in me and my art. I thank those who wanted to do art trades with me (I'll never forget my first one! ) I also thank those who actually wanted to commission me. I'm glad knowing that there are people out there who actually want me to draw for them! I also wanted to thank those who really wanted to try and get closer to me. To actually be friends with. Those who are dear to my heart and those who I just sometimes chat with. You guys mean a lot to me.

I truly am thankful for the good that deviantART has brought into my life. A place where I could finally show more then just my mom, dad, and boyfriend my art.

So again, thank you.

Even with all the good that dA has brought, it also brought a lot of bad things. I never thought a website could bring so much depression and annoyance at the same time with all the good. So much dumb crap can go on at this site sometimes.

Anyway, for my first year, I have received 25,274 pageviews and 435 watchers. Not as much as a lot of other artists I've seen got in their first year.. but I still think I'm doing ok.

Now... as for the pic. My character, Lady Owl baking a cake or running around in a cute anime moment x_x. Maybe she is trying to get Falcon to try the frosting. Anyway...I thought the whole One Year cake thing would be cute. Like a birthday thing going on. I'm really happy with how this pic turned out, too. Finally a decent look at her beak!
