.Sky Shrine. by Lady-Owl .Sky Shrine. by Lady-Owl
Guardian of the Sky Shrine.

I've been doing too much fanart lately and since I've been really inspired by a lot of artists recently, too (for example some of the features on the dragon were inspired by a lion like creature by puimun) I thought up this.

I plan on doing more work that is similar. Have a few ideas in mind (not all fantasy like though). I'm really pretty proud of how this came out, too and spent a bit more time on it then I usually would.

Um Lady-owl-sempai. This piece is REALLY good ^ ^ of course you know what I say...
"Your art inspires me" ^ ^ Which it always does. I don't know but everytime I see a
piece you make it look like a new world or something, like a black hole that sucks everyone
into it ^ ^. *nods* I love this piece ^ ^ *runs away*

For someone who doesn't draw dragons, I coulda sworn you'd be darned good at 'em!

But then, in your style, anything's apt to look good! I love the colours and the edged scales especially...and the sweep of the tail and the stylised but flowing hair. The highlights just finish it off. It's fantastic!

And well.. I never said I didn't ever draw dragons lol. Like I said, just hard to think up colors for them sometimes. ^^;

A great piece. At first, in my watch list, I saw '.Sky shring.' and was like... meh? So I clicked it curiously. I love dragons in general, but the simple fact it has oriental-esque appearance.. the quality.. the fluid experience I get when looking at it. ...

.. makes me happy. =D

I love the little birds. Oh yeah.

Wow! That's awesome. Whoa... Uh, where to begin? The scales look great, with their overall smooth texture. The coloring on the hair is astounding. And there's all the background elements helping to complete the picture and give it the aforementioned awesomeness - crag and cloud textures, leaves, birds, incense... Just how long did this take?

And yup, he has a bit of a Lion look to him. I was Inspired by a drawing of a lion I saw with the face and mane and even the horns.

Well, this is an amazing piece, and what first grabs my attention is how you flawlessly combined both the mane of hair with the smooth, fish-like scales. (Not that it's fish like slimey, but more like smooth and not one is "rigid" ... I guess like a snake.) You still, however, managed to texture many of the indivdual larger scales, which sorta merge together into a coherent color down along the tail, which again has more hair. :) Really, I think the color on this dragon is very oriential, the yellows and reds really come together to give this the "right feel." Of course, this is also a picture of the shrine, and I think for background, you did a very nice natural look. A rocky perch high upon a mountain with majestic purple lit clouds and birds soaring by, really does give you that "high" feeling... um, no, not the drugs! I mean like wow, I could be here with this guardian right now. The one thing I may want to point out is the incense, which I think you may have laid out in a Japanese style as opposed to a Chinese... but I could be mistake. Either way, though, I think it's a nice touch, the offering to the Sky Dragon. :)

Really beautiful, amazing colours. I always have a hard time drawing dragons, so I tend to worship anyone who can. And youve really done a great job. So pretty...

Stunning!
A wonderful range of colurs, textures, and great attention to detail.
But am I missing something?....
Is the Sky Shrine really a hot bowl of rice? Or is it noodles? I always assumed it'd be noodles. Maybe not.

Either way, very well done! Amazing stuff!
